The gentle story of King Joey’s Hope for Abby’s Cure: An Adventure Story is a personified friendly expedition. This short chapter storybook teaches children about cancer in the simplest terminology. Abigail, known as Abby is a happy child with a very colorful imagination. She has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), but is not disheartened because of her illness. Abby’s battle with leukemia may have disabled her body to function properly at times; however, it has enabled her natural curiosity, bravery, and empathy far beyond her years.
As Abby receives treatment, she dreams of her favorite storybook character, King Joey. Along her journey to recovery, Abby accompanies King Joey on an exciting adventure. She is introduced to new meaningful friendships and an array of musical genres and dance cultures.
